The Communicator is the official journal
of the Indian Institute of Mass.
The journal publishes articles and book reviews examining a wide
range of issues in communication theory, research and practice. The
journal seeks to be a general forum for communication scholarship and
application and is especially interested in research, which is multi
disciplinary based on the experience of India and other developing
countries. The focus of the journal is to publish the best available
scholarship on all aspects of communication. Submissions should conform to the stylistic guidelines of the
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association
(4th edition). Mailing address and brief biographical notes on all
authors should be provided on a separate page, in addition to a 100-word
abstract and a list of key words for indexing. Successful submissions
generally run no longer than 30 typed double-spaced pages. The entire
manuscript should have one and a half-inch margin on all sides. Tables
should be clear and understandable independent of the text. Figures
should be sent camera ready, clear and legible when reduced. References
should be carefully edited to ensure consistency with APA guidelines.
Authors are responsible for gaining permission for including any
copyrighted material that needs permission, including quotations of more
than 300 hundred words. The manuscript has to be sent on a computer disk
along with the hard copy. Submission implies commitment to publish in
the journal. Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal should not
simultaneously submit them to another journal, nor should the manuscript
have been published elsewhere in substantially similar form or with
substantially similar content All manuscripts are subjected to review. |
