1. Communication: Concepts and Process (100 Marks)
The paper is in four parts namely concept and process; communication research; language and communication and international communication. This paper provides the theoretical foundation for understanding mass communication. The role of Media and Media research and informational needs of society are highlighted.

Beginning with the early history of the press radio/TV and Film paper deals with laws and ethics that govern and regulate the functioning of various media and media organizations in the country in today's Information Age.

2. Paper II
This paper provides insights into the history and development of Press in India and also the growth of Radio and Television. The media Laws and ethics are deal with indepth. This paper also offers a study of recent regulatary mechanisms and policy applicable to the fast changing Radio Television and Web Media Scenario.

The paper also deals with the development of Indian and World Cinema. A study of the medium and its social implications and censorship form a part of this paper.

3. Paper III
This paper deals with understanding what is news, news gathering sifting reporting and editing. Scholars undertake intensive study of Media organisation and news agencies getting an insight into their professional working, problems and prospects.

5. Paper V
The paper offer a study of the concept and practice of Journalism in the Medium of Radio. Students learn the skills of practical Journalism in this medium. The paper provides a conceptual understanding and training in the Techniques of Radio program Production in all its intricacies. There is the details section of the paper which deals with voice training and the Anchoring for the Radio programing.

6. TV Journalism: Skills, Tools & Techniques (100 Marks)
The paper provides a broad overview of the various journalistic and professional tasks in a TV News Channel. Students get hands on training on video cameras, nonlinear edit suits and TV studio work. Visualising of News & News based programs, scripting and TV anchoring are other skills developed in this paper.

7. Paper VII
This Paper deals with Radio Reporting and sending despatches from the field. The paper is completely practical oriented and students are sent-out for reporting asignments in the city. The reporting includes specialised areas like political, parliament, buisiness, and sports. The paper offers training in compiling Radio News programes production.

The paper also deals with FM Radio program Production and Anchoring.


8. Paper VIII
This paper will give the students an indepth understanding of various Radio Programes. This is a completely practical oriented paper where students work on various formats like Interview, Discussion, Feature, Documentaries, Newsreel and Magazine programming. The paper also deals with program-costing and budgeting, advertisement and sponsorship, apart from research and marketing etc.

9. Paper IX
This paper will give the students ian ndepth understanding of various Television Programmes. This is a completely practical oriented paper where students work on various formats like Interview, Discussion, Feature, Documentaries, Newsreel and Magazine programming. The paper also deals with program-costing and budgeting, advertisement and sponsorship, apart from research and marketing etc.

10. Paper X
The paper is an intesive television programe production training exercise. Students learn the art and craft of producing Television programmes using Field Camera;s and TV studio production. Students undertake intensive programe research and buisiness planing and with costing and budgeting of programmes. The paper also provides an understanding of marketing and Public Relations Exercise undertaken by Television Production House & Channels.
Students produced new programmes and TV Features/.Talk shows as a final product of the training.
