Prof. (Dr.) Mrinal Chatterjee, Regional Director: Prof. Mrinal Chatterjee is a journalist turned media academician. He is heading the Eastern Indian campus of IIMC since 2006. Prof. Chatterjee has written more than 20 books in the field of fiction and non-fiction. Recently awarded with D.Litt. on 30 June 2022.
Jitendra Pati is working as an Academic Coordinator and IT. Initially, appointed as a computer/ IT teacher at IIMC Dhenkanal. He has 22 years of teaching experience. During this tenure, he has the opportunity to teach Railway Information Officers, ICAR officers, and Odisha Information Service (OIS) Officers and coordinated several state Government training projects. Prior to joining at IIMC, he worked in a Computer Institute as Senior Faculty and Software Developer. He has also worked as guest faculty at different Diploma Engineering Schools and Government Colleges. He holds MCA and MAJM, trained as an IT professional from CMC Ltd. Kolkata and NIIT, New Delhi. He is also an LLB holder with Post Graduate Certificate in Cyber Law from IGNOU.
Dr. Hari Krishna Behera is a NET, M.Phil. and Ph.D. holder who is working as Assistant Professor at IIMC, Dhenkanal. He has 10 years of teaching experience. He was awarded M.Phil. Degree in the year 2011. Later he undertook research for the degree of Ph.D. and was awarded in 2015. To his credit, Dr. Behera has published 24 Research Articles in various National and International Journals of repute. He has also published three books on various aspects of Mass Media.
Bhavna Acharya is working as Assistant Professor at IIMC, Dhenkanal. She has 3 years of work experience with Hindustan Times as a copy editor in New Delhi as well as Kolkata. She has completed her Master’s degree in Mass Communication and PGD in English Journalism. She submitted her PhD thesis in Film Studies at XIM University, Bhubaneswar. She was a part of the Film Appreciation course in FTII, Pune.
Abhishek Roy (UGC-NET qualified) is working as an Academic Associate at IIMC, Dhenkanal. He has provided his services as a Health-Communication Specialist under the direct supervision of Padmashree Dr. Ravi Kannan at Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Silchar. He has also worked as a Research Associate in a major ICSSR project. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from Assam University; a central university located in Silchar, South Assam.
Soumya Ranjan Bihara has 7 years of professional experience in print media and is currently working as an Academic Assistant here at IIMC, Dhenkanal. He is a published author and has written well over 3 research articles. He has master’s in three different disciplines including Buddhist studies. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Rural Development and a certification programme in Tribal Studies.
