Dr Anupama Bhatnagar
An Indian Information Service (IIS) officer of the 1991 batch, Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar currently serves as Vice Chancellor, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. She also worked as Director General, Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India. Dr. Bhatnagar holds a PhD in Political Science from MDS University, Ajmer, and an M.Phil. in Public Administration from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has held various positions such as secretary at the Press Council of India, a quasi-judicial authority. She also worked as the ADG, News Service Division at All India Radio, overseeing news bulletins, news content, and administrative and financial responsibilities. Additionally, she has been the Director of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, where she played a crucial role in formulating policies on higher education, anti-ragging, reservation, and autonomous councils.
